In a spacious interior that makes use of an old town house, you can relax comfortably without shoes. The clever use of natural light is beautiful, and outside the hallway, colorful rice cakes are lined up, making it enjoyable just to look at them. The specialty 'mochi shabu' can be enjoyed individually, and it's interesting to taste 12 different types of rice cakes in order. The gentle sweetness of the broth pairs well with yuzu and shichimi, and the creamy texture just before it melts is irresistible. Hot chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and a dish of local tochimochi topped with ginger paste were also served, further enhancing my satisfaction. You can feel the care that comes from a long-established rice cake shop, making it a very comfortable place.
