The friendly staff welcomed me, and I felt comfortable from the very beginning. I was able to try various types of sake, from dry to sweet, and also taste shochu and some rather rare liquors. It had a rich, smooth flavor, yet the aftertaste was crisp, and I felt it was very well balanced. Tasting while figuring out my preferences made the selection process enjoyable. I learned that there is a junmai daiginjo that has been highly rated at international competitions, which further heightened my expectations. The atmosphere unique to a region with many breweries made my time spent here very pleasant.
