A lively izakaya where you can enjoy fresh seafood
Matsumoto is a vibrant izakaya that offers a wide variety of fish dishes. The fresh sashimi platter is impressive in both freshness and portion size, making it a delight for seafood lovers. You can enjoy a succession of delicious dishes. Asking for recommended menu items enhances the enjoyment of your meal even further.
I have visited several times, and everything I eat is exquisite. The sashimi platter is particularly impressive. It is piled so high that even one serving is too much to finish. This is a place I want to revisit.
We thought we would be first in line before 5pm, but it was soon almost full. I was glad I had made a reservation.
The restaurant recommended the kinmedai (sea bream) set meal, which included sashimi, simmered dish and tempura. The simmered dish was the most delicious, although it was a little spicy. It was my first time to try kinmedai sashimi, and it was delicious.
I would like to try something different next time, so I will go back several times.
I visited for the first time and was very impressed by how kind the staff were! There were too many items on the menu, so I ordered the simmered fish (laughs). The simmered Akou fish was really delicious. If you like bottom fish, you should definitely try it! The prices were not listed on the menu, so I rated the cost performance as 3 stars, but the taste and atmosphere were excellent.

I had been there once when it was in Ashiya before it was relocated.
I had some business nearby, and when I found out that it had moved, I went there.
I was prepared to wait in line, so I arrived early with plenty of time to spare, but luckily I was shown to my table right away without waiting in line (lol).
I was prepared for this because I went at lunch time, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I ordered all three kinds of sea bream, all boiled.
The price was 2200 yen without tax.
I guess sea bream is expensive!
I think most of the menu items were in the latter half of 1000 yen.
The standard set comes out as soon as you order.
Three kinds of small bowls of cooked food (sashimi, simmered fish ara and radish, shirasu)
Rice (free refill), pickles
Araoshiru (soup of fish guts)
You will have this set until the main course arrives.
I was satisfied with about 4 kinds of sashimi in a small bowl.
I didn't know what kind of fish was in the small bowl of boiled fish, but it was delicious lol.
It was lightly seasoned.
There was only a little bit of shirasu (baby sardine).
I had it with rice with a little drop of soy sauce on the table.
It was delicious.
The main dish of simmered sea bream arrived.
It came open so that the flavor would soak in easily, or so that it would be easy to eat.
It was delicious, but I had the impression that the taste was quite light for a simmered dish.
Perhaps the flavor is thin because the fish is boiled after it is ordered.
I would prefer it to be a little thicker.
I recommend this restaurant because you can choose the cooking method and customize it to your liking, and the cosmetics are good!
Maybe next time I'll order sea bream boiled and grilled with salt~!
