As you go up the stairs right from the station, a cozy little shop greets you with brightness. I decided to try a set for my order, and it arrived packed full of ingredients and noodles, which was exciting. The soup, infused with the richness of sesame and garlic chili oil, has a moderate spiciness and a depth similar to dan dan noodles. You can enjoy several types of noodles at once, such as glass noodles and knife-cut noodles, making the difference in textures enjoyable. There are many vegetable-based toppings like kelp, lotus root, and yuba, allowing you to slurp it down without feeling heavy until the end. The plastic bowl with a vinyl apron is easy to hold, making it a wonderful place to casually enjoy authentic mala tang.
