Finally! Finally! We made it! Gion NITI, a restaurant I've wanted to visit since I started my food log! The shaved ice made from natural ice is very popular here! The natural ice is, of course! It's from Tokujiro VI in Nikko! The store is located in a narrow alley off Hanamikoji Street! I could easily recognize it because of the shaking ice sign! We visited around 2pm in June. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was full... I was told that there were 5 or 6 groups waiting! As expected of such a popular restaurant! It seems that reservations can be made, but we had no choice since we rushed in this time! We made a reservation for one hour later and wandered around the area. When the time came, I went to the restaurant and was able to get in smoothly. I was able to get in smoothly, but other customers were being turned down because they were all booked up! I think it would be better to put a sign in front of the restaurant saying that the restaurant is closed for the day. It seems that the staff is having a hard time dealing with the unknown customers who enter the restaurant... I was shown to the counter. The side of the restaurant is a garden, and it's so relaxing to see a little bit of greenery. Now, of course, I ordered shaved ice! The waitress explains it to us in detail. What shall I order? It's so hard to decide! I think I've thought about it for a while! Alright! I've decided on coffee ice! Just in front of me is a shaved ice machine, and I arrive to see the ice being shaved all the time! It was crowded and it seemed like we had to wait a while! The ice was thick and tall and pure white! Since it is shaved from milk ice, it melts softly and gently. Coffee is served separately, so you can pour it on at your own time. It has a strong coffee flavor, so when combined with the milk ice, it is like a café au lait! In the middle, there are azuki beans and condensed milk bavarois. The most decisive factor in making this shaved ice was this bavarois! You don't see it much these days... I have loved Bavarois since I was a child, so I was attracted to it. It has condensed milk, but it's not too sweet at all! It's also very sweet and gentle. The azuki beans also have a firm texture. It didn't melt too quickly, and I was able to eat it without getting squeamish until the very end! However, since this is a natural ice store, I should have tasted it purely. I regret it a little. I guess they must be very prosperous this time of year! Please visit! If you go, please make a reservation in advance! Thank you for the food!

Shaved ice with saints 🍧💠 I have shaved ice with mugwort and soybean flour with coconut pudding and azuki beans inside 🎶 Timing is good, no waiting time 😊.
