I was able to order directly at the counter, and the staff moved quickly, so I wasn't kept waiting. The ingredients were all very fresh, and the rice was modest, which really highlighted the flavors of the materials. I particularly enjoyed the rolls, and the combination of finely chopped pickled daikon and perilla leaves was fragrant and excellent. The roll made with kanpyo (dried gourd) simmered in the shop, with a hint of wasabi, conveyed the deliciousness of the seaweed and the careful craftsmanship. The salmon roe and sashimi were also satisfying in taste, and I was able to relax and enjoy myself at both the counter and the tatami seating. The interior of the shop was spacious, with the sound of the television playing, and the staff engaged with me at just the right level, making it a very comfortable place to be.
