Here, there is a variety of products that make use of local ingredients, and just looking at them is exciting. I compared the 'Omoi-guri' and 'Omoware-guri' (two types of chestnuts), and the combination of whole chestnuts with white bean paste was very satisfying. The 'Omoware-guri' was moist with its astringent skin still on, and the brandy flavor was subtle, making it easy to eat. Both were larger in size, and enjoying them with warm tea made them even more delicious. There were also plenty of samples of ham and sausage, and the rich flavor of the bacon was particularly impressive. They pair excellently with beer at home, leaving a happy aftertaste.
