"Taishu Yakiniku Yakiniku Zenri" is a popular spot in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, known for its exquisite yakiniku. As the name "Public Yakiniku" suggests, it is a popular yakiniku restaurant. The shop is small and shows some signs of age and dirt. However, encouraged by the smile of the welcoming staff, I was able to sit down, free from the typical "uncomfortable feeling for first-time visitors" that is common in such places. It was a Saturday night, and as customers kept coming in, the operation seemed to be a bit off. The menu is a single laminated sheet with writing on both sides. In this regard, it is simple and better compared to the booklet-style menus that are common these days. At a glance, the overall pricing is inexpensive, although drinks and noodles seem a bit pricey. I visited with four people, including children, and ordered just enough to feel satisfied, thinking, 'Did we order too much?' The cost performance is very good. Regarding the meat, the quality of the top cuts seems to be excellent. Both the tenderness and sweetness are satisfactory, but the spiciness of the dipping sauce feels a bit excessive. The tongue was raw, along with green onions and possibly other items, but the thick slices of raw tongue seemed difficult for the children to eat. The stone-grilled bibimbap and cold noodles received perfect scores. The stone grill was hot, and while mixing, a lot of crispy bits were formed. The cold noodles had a wonderful balance of seaweed and broth, setting them apart from the usual cold noodles that are just spicy with kimchi and gochujang. However, the white rice was a bit dry, which caught my attention. After eating and drinking to our hearts' content, we left feeling full. The total was just under 23,000 yen. It felt about 5,000 yen cheaper than I expected. If I lived closer, I would visit often, but in my case, I have to navigate through the traffic in Kamiyamada, making the location a bit challenging. That said, I had a great dinner.
