The cabbage goes well with sesame dressing, and sauces like Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and salt are also available to enjoy according to your preference. It comes with small side dishes, miso soup, and even fruit, which is delightful as you can taste a variety of flavors. In season, you can also enjoy rice dishes like shako-meshi, hokki-meshi, and harako-meshi. In particular, the harako-meshi is topped with thinly sliced salmon and a mountain of salmon roe, enough to hide the rice, and it has a simple, comforting taste.
