It is run by a family, and the warm atmosphere is very pleasant. The display case in front of the counter showcases the day's fish, which is exciting just to look at. I was moved to be able to taste rare items such as mudskippers from the Ariake Sea, warasubo, and Takezaki crabs. The grilled sweetfish was particularly impressive, and it pairs excellently with alcohol. There is a good selection of local sake from Saga, and the owner chooses a bottle that complements the dishes. The shrimp and shellfish, as well as the fried rolls, are delicious, allowing me to fully appreciate the depth of Saga's cuisine.
