In a calm building designed like a log house, the moment you open the door, the scent of wood gently spreads. The daily lunch special features fish as the main attraction, allowing you to enjoy seasonal flavors such as grilled salt mackerel and a variety of sea bream. The thick slices of fish are rich in fat, and squeezing lemon enhances the umami even more. The small side dishes of konnyaku kinpira and simmered napa cabbage are lightly seasoned, making it easy to eat more rice. The coffee served after the meal is perfectly timed, and I was delighted to slowly savor it on the terrace with my dog. Thanks to the warm hospitality of the talkative master and his wife, it felt as comfortable as being invited to a friend's house.
