A charming yakitori restaurant in Hikari no Mori

Yakitori Gaburi is a lovely new yakitori restaurant located near the Hikari no Mori shopping mall. Every yakitori dish is exquisite, and there is a wide variety of grilled vegetables, including beef ribs and shiitake mushrooms. In particular, the delicious edamame and chicken soup, reminiscent of the Edo period, warm the heart with every visit.

In a small shop next to the Light Forest shopping mall, you feel excited as you enter the stylish atmosphere. Once seated, a generous serving of grated daikon radish is brought out, and when you drizzle it with ponzu sauce and munch on it, it pairs perfectly with beer. The grilled chicken skewers are all large, with a perfect balance of salt, and you are amazed by the impressive size of the white liver. The classics like negima and tsukune have a unique twist, with the perfect combination of smokiness and juiciness. The chicken rice and chicken chazuke you order to finish off highlight the umami of the broth, warming your heart. It's a wonderful place where you can leisurely enjoy skewers along with sake or shochu.

When you enter the restaurant, you are first served a bowl full of grated daikon radish, and when you pour ponzu sauce over it, it becomes irresistibly crunchy. Since you can have as much as you want, eating it between skewers refreshes your palate, and you are encouraged to keep ordering more skewers. The grilled chicken is cooked thoroughly and has a nice aroma, and you won't get tired of the juicy aged beef skewers or the meatballs that taste like hamburgers. The pork belly, negima (chicken and green onion), shiitake mushrooms, and red eggplant skewers are also creatively prepared, which is exciting. You can go get your own drinks along the way, making it easy for families and those who prefer non-alcoholic options to enjoy. The chicken chazuke (rice in tea) that I ordered to finish was a perfect match with the soup's umami and wasabi, and I happily continued eating until the end.
