Omiya is a long-established soba restaurant conveniently located just a short walk from Shin-Okubo Station. With a rich menu and innovative soba dishes, the gentle flavors enhanced by dashi have won the hearts of many. It's conveniently located right next to the station, making it easy to enter, and as you go further in, the space opens up and feels calming. The interior is clean, and I appreciate being able to sit comfortably in a chair. The thin soba noodles are firm and have a nice chewiness, and the dipping sauce is rich and mellow with a good flavor of dashi, making it delicious even when diluted with soba broth. The warm soba with mountain vegetables, nameko mushrooms, fried tofu, and grated daikon was also satisfying with its pleasant aroma. For snacks with sake, the soba miso and itawasa (sliced fish) are substantial, and even the side dishes are thoughtfully prepared. I was also impressed by the subtle attentiveness, such as guiding me to my seat and serving warm tea at the end.
