Thick Tantanmen Noodles with Quail Topping Let's blow off the first day of work and have ramen noodles to make you feel like Osechi (New Year's Day)! Misogin, Fuku and Isshin are closed for New Year's Day. So I tried Yokohama Iekei, which I'm rather bad at, because they have tantanmen (๑-̀ㅂ́)و✧. When I sat down at the counter, I saw a lone customer drinking a small bottle of Coke (; ・`д・´), a fierce combination of ramen and rice with Coke ( ✧Д✧). Since it's New Year's...he must have wanted to be extravagant...but I guess his stomach is still full... Actually, I like soda so much that I drink it every day, but I can't drink cola. The name "milkshake" is very Showa-era (థ公థ...థ...థ...థ...థ...థ...but Dr. Pepper is good (๑-̀ㅂ́)و✧What a minor thing (✧Д✧) ✧! Thick Tantanmen Dry, hard noodles, topped with 5 quail V's and seasoned green onions! The noodle and soup are so intertwined that it reminds me of soup-less noodle soup (థ公థ.) The spiciness is not that impactful... but the taste is very thick! When I eat tantanmen, I really want a small bowl of rice, so I made it again with rice to follow (✧Д✧) Kak! I should really put it in the bowl...but I've been obsessed with making omiyashi lately...(థ公థ...) If you drink all the soup, you get one "kanmaku ticket" and 10 tickets get you one bowl of ramen for free (; ・`д・´) but...I'm hungry!
