In a traditional Japanese space that makes use of an old-style house, there is a warmth from the charcoal that brings a sense of calm. The seats on the engawa (veranda) are pleasant with the breeze, allowing you to spend time while gazing at the idyllic scenery. Once seated, tea and small sweets are served, which immediately soothes the heart. The sobakaki (buckwheat dumpling) is light and fluffy, with a fragrant aroma, and the sharpness of real wasabi pairs well with it. The thin, 100% buckwheat soba is easy to eat, and when paired with warm duck dipping sauce, the umami flavor is greatly enhanced. The soba with spicy grated daikon also has a refreshing spiciness, and you can thoroughly enjoy the sobayu (soba water) after the meal.
