I stopped by a soup curry specialty shop near the university. The Japanese-style soup, based on mackerel flakes, has a rich flavor from onions and tomatoes, and the aroma spreads throughout my mouth. Even at the highest level of spiciness, the umami remains strong, and the moderate kick is pleasant. The vegetables, such as potatoes and carrots, are large and have a delightful fluffy texture. The lamb, simmered in red wine, is surprisingly tender, with the flavor of soy sauce adding an accent. Since I could choose the amount of rice, I was able to enjoy the soup and ingredients deliciously until the end.
