I entered an izakaya that I stumbled upon in the shopping street. I was guided to the counter, where I could sit comfortably in a calm atmosphere. The first dish that arrived was fried oysters, which had a crispy coating and were packed with the rich flavor of the oysters, leaving me very satisfied. The following dish, egg and soba noodles, had a hot sauce that clung to the noodles, and the aroma of the broth spread, making me want to keep slurping it. There were also hearty options like sashimi of fresh octopus and simmered offal, which made me want to drink more. I could hear the cheerful exchanges between the local regulars and the staff, making it a cozy place where I felt at home.
