Choshu Basho is an authentic chanko nabe restaurant located in Shimonoseki City. The special chanko nabe is packed with ingredients, healthy, and features a delicious collagen-rich broth that has been simmered for a long time. In the sunken kotatsu seating area, you can admire the handprints of sumo wrestlers and decorative mawashi, fully immersing yourself in the sumo atmosphere. The variety of side dishes is also exceptional.

The tatami room is spacious, allowing you to stretch your legs and relax, and it is filled with items related to sumo, creating an enjoyable sumo atmosphere. The chanko is packed with ingredients, offering a light yet satisfying flavor. As time goes on, the umami of the broth increases, making it enjoyable without getting boring until the end. Grinding sesame seeds yourself to add to the dish is aromatic and feels like a fun little experience. You can order from a single serving, and at the end, you can choose from rice, udon, or champon. The side dishes are also substantial, with the white fish fry being unforgettable in its deliciousness, and the octopus sashimi was fresh.

You can order chanko from a single serving, and it is filled with plenty of ingredients, making it light and easy to eat. The more it simmers, the deeper the broth becomes, and the deliciousness increases until the very end. The method of grinding roasted sesame seeds yourself adds a delightful aroma and is fun. The side dishes are also substantial, with the white fish fry being crispy and fluffy, and the octopus sashimi being fresh and sweet. For the finale, you can choose from rice, udon, or champon, making it enjoyable even for large groups.
