The signature pork sauté is savory with a soy sauce base, enhanced by garlic and pepper, making it hard to stop eating the rice. The meat is surprisingly tender, and the flavor seeps into the accompanying cabbage, providing a satisfying experience. The set meal includes rice, miso soup, a small side dish, and pickles, with the miso soup containing tofu, seaweed, and bamboo shoots for an enjoyable texture. The restaurant specializes in fried foods, but also offers soba and udon, with the udon broth having a gentle Kansai flavor. There are bike stands and larger racks available, and the staff is accustomed to cyclists, which is nice, along with their thoughtful provision of cold barley tea.
