This traditional shop retains the atmosphere of the Showa era, allowing for a calm dining experience. The owner and staff are friendly and approachable, making it enjoyable even when dining alone. The nigiri features small rice balls topped with appropriately thick slices of fish, creating a good balance. The clear soup and chawanmushi are rich in aroma, and the umami of the dashi is distinctly felt, making them my particular favorites. With additional offerings like fish soup and rolls, I was able to enjoy a variety of flavors at once, providing a sense of satisfaction. It seems they also have a well-stocked takeout menu, and I felt a warmth that made me want to buy some to take home if it were nearby.
