Founded in 1921, Oroji is a long-established and much-loved tonkatsu restaurant. Located near the Isetan Department Store in Shinjuku, Tokyo, this famous restaurant is regarded as one of the birthplaces of tonkatsu in Japan. The popular "ton-don" is a thick pork loin cutlet cut at an angle into a cylindrical cutlet and served on a bed of curry. The thick, sour sauce on the cutlet is also an attraction. The taste is the same as it has been since the establishment of the restaurant.
