The interior is small and has a warm wooden feel, making it easy to drop by. The sashimi of swordtip squid has a distinct texture for each part, and when paired with the sea grapes, it provided a delightful crunch. The signature oden has a clear broth that seeps into the body, and it's nice that different condiments are prepared for each ingredient. There are also surprising items like clams and chrysanthemum leaves, and the umami of the shellfish and the aroma of the vegetables blended into the broth, making me involuntarily pick up my chopsticks. They can reduce the portion size by half, so even when dining alone, I could try various dishes, and the grilled oysters with miso on a magnolia leaf were perfect as a snack with sake. I felt warmly satisfied until the end, thanks to the careful work of the owner, who writes out the daily specials using seasonal ingredients.
