Umaimonoya Doi

A variety of homemade dishes are made with local ingredients, and the Mikawa Ramen, a soy sauce soup flavored with bonito flake stock, is a specialty unique to this area. You can enjoy regional dishes such as miso potatoes (seasonal), game meat hot pot, and a handmade pizza experience baked in a stone oven (reservation required), with menus that make full use of mountain village ingredients throughout the seasons.

A standalone house serving as a diner and shop sits along National Route 33 on the banks of the Omogo River. Inside, a dining area coexists with a small store selling local vegetables, souvenirs, and daily necessities, giving the place a warm, community-rooted atmosphere. From the terrace seating you can take in sweeping mountain scenery, and it has an easy, welcoming feel for visitors stopping by on a drive to the Shikoku Karst or Nakatsu Gorge.

Located along National Route 33, near the junction toward Omitsudake and the Shikoku Karst Plateau, it originally took root in the community as a shop that also operated as the Doi Hardware and Building Materials Store. Serving as a diner, general store, and catering service and supporting the area in multiple ways, it has long been loved by both local residents and visitors for its nostalgic, gently flavored homemade dishes made with broth simmered from basic ingredients and for its stone-oven pizza experience.
