I have been using this place for a long time. I am sad that the pond is gone after the renovation, but my kids still say, "I want to go there when I hear the name "Crab Boat"! I can't get that kind of food at that kind of price in Tokyo! You can't get that kind of food at that price in Tokyo! I know it must be tough with all the price hikes, but please do your best to maintain the quality and provide delicious food!

How did it come to this? Since it's not local, I can't go several times a year, but whenever I'm nearby, I used to think, if I'm going to eat anyway, it has to be the crab boat, and I've been going for decades. The menu was extensive, and choosing was fun, but now it's all changed. The response when I called directly was unacceptable; having someone who can't take messages answer the phone is unbelievable. When I entered the restaurant and sat at the table, I found just a flimsy single sheet for the menu; the grand menu booklet that used to be there is gone. There were no handwritten recommendations either. When I asked the staff, they just said, 'That's right.' There are only five items on the grand menu! What? The local specialties that used to be recommended are also gone, and I felt like leaving. The dishes I reluctantly ordered took even longer to be served than before, and what came out was something you could eat anywhere; it was no longer the crab boat. Other tables were saying the same thing. Is this all there is? Is it still not here? At this rate, customers won't come! It's good that the tatami room has turned into tables, even if it's too late, but I feel like the restaurant's survival is just a matter of time. I sincerely hope they return to the original crab boat before it's too late!
