The oden cooked in a clear broth in the Kansai style is fragrant and brings happiness from the very first bite. In addition to the classic ingredients like daikon, eggs, and beef tendon, you can also enjoy unique variations such as beef tongue, horse Achilles tendon, baby octopus, chicken wings, tomatoes, and shungiku (chrysanthemum leaves). The tomatoes are served on a separate plate, and their refreshing acidity perfectly complements the broth. For the finale, you can choose noodles like udon or curry Chinese noodles that combine spices with the oden broth, and it's great that half sizes are available. The curry Chinese noodles have a spicy flavor topped with green onions, and the saltiness can be adjusted to your preference. There is also a selection of sake, shochu, and gin, and a bottle with fruity notes and richness was perfect for pairing with sashimi and clam oden.
