A renowned restaurant for authentic countryside soba where locals gather

Soba Kiri Kurou is a popular local establishment that serves authentic countryside soba. The medium-thick, firm soba pairs perfectly with the flavorful broth made from bonito dashi. The tempura is made with fresh vegetables, and the yacon and eggplant tempura are particularly juicy and satisfying. With a bright and clean interior, this restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can fully enjoy delicious Japanese soba.

It is located across from the roadside station, making it easy to find. The interior has a pleasant atmosphere, and there was a lively vibe when I entered. The soba, which is ground daily, has a wonderful aroma, is slightly thicker, and you can see the bits of the husk. The more you chew, the more the flavor spreads, and it has a nice smoothness when slurping. The rich dashi broth pairs well, and the vegetable tempura, especially the eggplant, is particularly impressive with its tenderness. Finally, I was able to enjoy the soba broth, making for a delightful meal.
