Don't forget to bring some sasa-kamaboko as a souvenir! Walking along the shopping street toward Sendai Station, I found a line of people waiting to get in! What is it? It seems to be a line for Hyotan-age (fried gourd), 150 yen! I was quite full when I passed by this place. I thought Hyotan-age was another restaurant. This Hyotan-Age has changed the wiener of the American Dog to a paste! I love this kind of thing! Ahhhh, why didn't I eat it? But I did buy some sasakamaboko (fish cake) to take home! 5 pieces, 1,130 yen The size is about the same length as your hand! It's thick and fluffy, just like a thick-baked fish cake! High quality fish such as guchi and sea bream are seasoned with traditional Japanese seasonings based on bonito and kelp, as well as sanonto sugar, etc. The texture of charcoal grill is achieved by using a far-infrared ray grill. The fish smells great and is really fluffy! My partner doesn't like this kind of fish paste, but he loved this one! I'm glad! I'm glad! But I regret the fried gourd (tears) I'll eat it next time! There are many stores in Sendai, and I've tasted many of them, but I think the sasakamama here is the best! But this time, I would like to introduce something different! Abe Kamaboko Honten (Abe Kamaboko) This is a long-established sasa-kamaboko store that has been in business for over 40 years! The crispy, fresh and delicious texture of the bamboo grass kamaboko! But this time, we'd like to introduce you to something they sell next to the store! Hyotan-age (fried gourd)! Five years ago, when I bought sasa-kamaboko here, there was a huge line! I regretted not buying it back then, so I wanted to take revenge! You can buy from a single piece and eat it as you go! There is a little space to sit in front of the store, but unfortunately there was no place to sit, so we ate it standing up! Hyotan-age (fried gourd): 200 yen Deep-fried fish paste wrapped in a crispy dough. A paste version of the American Dog! Not freshly fried, but slightly warm! There are two kinds of ketchup: normal and spicy. I asked for less normal ketchup, but it was still there! The size is about twice the size of a ping pong ball. One of them is bigger than I expected! The slightly sweet dough is crumbly and tends to spill out! Pigeons will snatch them up and eat them! They know you're going to drop them, so they hang around them all the time. The fish paste part is soft and the fish flavor is a little comforting! When you finish eating, pay attention to the skewer! If you hit a jackpot, you get another skewer! Unfortunately, there was nothing on mine... I really like the idea of taking fish paste and turning it into something new!
