The newly opened tonkatsu specialty shop "Tonkatsu Minagawa" in Kugahara is beloved by the local community. The interior exudes cleanliness, and the cozy atmosphere with only counter seating makes it an inviting place to enjoy a leisurely meal. The crispy batter and juicy meat of the tonkatsu are exquisite, and you can enjoy watching it being fried right in front of you. The house-made pickles are particularly recommended, with a flavor that makes you want to ask for seconds every time you visit.

It's a small counter-only shop, but it's clean and has a good impression. The tonkatsu has a light and crispy coating, and the meat is tender with a nice chew. They say they use SPF pork from Chiba, which feels high quality. The frying method is slow, and it was cooked thoroughly to the center. In addition to cabbage and lemon, it's fun that a quail egg yolk is placed on top of grated daikon. The rice is shiny and delicious, and I was satisfied with the hot tonjiru and pickles.
