When I casually stopped by in front of the temple gate, warm tea and a wet towel were served immediately, which was a relief. The hand-stretched somen noodles are thin and slippery, and the aroma of the broth is elegant, making me feel happy from the very first bite. The warm somen warms my body, while the cold somen, thanks to the ice, allows me to enjoy a refreshing texture until the very end. When I dissolve yuzu chili pepper, a refreshing spiciness spreads, tightening the flavor and making it hard to put down my chopsticks. The yam has a strong stickiness and deep richness, and when mixed with rice, it spreads a creamy umami flavor. The sweet simmered amago trout was also moist and tender, and I was very satisfied as I could eat it from head to tail.
