When you buy a meal ticket at the vending machine, a staff member nearby hands you a number tag, which is reassuring. While waiting at your seat, the delicious aroma of charcoal-grilled eel fills the air, and I was excited when the eel rice bowl was brought to me. The thick, fluffy eel is rich in fat, has no unpleasant smell, and is very delicious. The sauce is not too strong and enhances the texture of the rice, making it a perfect match. There is self-service water and complimentary pickled shiso, so you can enjoy a nice palate cleanser as well. The style of returning the dishes to the designated area after the meal makes it feel like a casual place to enjoy eel quickly.
