The shop's interior, which exudes a Showa retro atmosphere, is a space where you can feel at ease the moment you step in. The first dish served, Goto udon, features thin noodles that slide smoothly down your throat, with the aroma of bonito broth wafting through the air. The freshly fried shrimp tempura has a light batter, and when it absorbs the broth, its sweetness increases, bringing joy. The sashimi, cut thickly, is rich in fat, and with each bite, the umami spreads delightfully. The hearty katsudon, with fluffy eggs and green onions intertwined, allows the broth to soak into the rice, keeping it interesting until the very end. Coupled with the warm hospitality of the staff, it became a memorable meal from my travels.
