The Showa retro atmosphere is comfortable and allows for a relaxing time. I had the lively tempura rice bowl, which was exciting with its generous toppings. It included pumpkin, eggplant, sweet potato, fish, Mikawa pork, and quail eggs, all of which were delicious. The batter was crispy and light, and the rich sauce paired well with the ingredients and rice. I also enjoyed the broccoli potage and the colorful salad, which added to my satisfaction. The set meals come with an all-you-can-eat selection of obanzai (traditional Japanese side dishes), allowing you to enjoy plenty of local vegetables. The shirasu (whitebait) bowl was refreshing when paired with perilla leaves and radish, and it was very delicious. Curry and drinks are also available, and it's nice that you can have refills. The taste is robust, seemingly from a hotel, providing a level of satisfaction that you wouldn't expect from a roadside station's cafeteria.
