Aoki-ya is a charming izakaya located in the Nozawa Onsen area, where you can enjoy delicious dishes against a backdrop of beautiful snow scenery. The juicy grilled gyoza is exquisite, and the fresh firefly squid marinated in soy sauce is remarkably delicious. The calm atmosphere of the interior is perfect for a drink after enjoying the hot springs. With a wide selection of sake, there are new discoveries to be made with each visit.

Great atmosphere. Menu is simple and straightforward. The beef from Shinshu was excellent and underrated. Staff were really helpful and had a great time "kanpai-ing" with them. Good mini sake collection too. Will definitely visit again next snow season!

The atmosphere was good. I think it would have been even better if there were a few more warm menu options. During the winter season, there are many foreign ski guests, so I think making a reservation is a safe choice.

Terrific fun atmosphere. Lovely helpful stuff. Delicious in general. Local Sake also. Unfortunately the rafute wasn't as tender and tasty as I make it!
