Chunha Bossam

Domestic pork, carefully boiled using only salt, is characterized by a tender, falling-apart texture without any unpleasant odor. The basic way to eat it is to wrap large servings of bossam kimchi together with ssam lettuce, raw garlic, and salted fermented tiny shrimp (saeu-jeot). Set meals come with a variety of banchan such as japchae, gyeranjjim (steamed egg), and jjigae. The 'bossam set meal', which can be ordered for one person, is a popular dish that even a solo diner can enjoy casually.

The walls are lined with autograph boards signed by celebrities, and the lively, down-to-earth atmosphere inside the shop draws constant queues on weekends. Table turnover is fast, and it is so popular that a one-hour time limit is imposed on weekends. It is located in the Bukchon Hanok Village area, just a few minutes' walk from Changdeokgung, making it a convenient spot to stop by during sightseeing.

On January 21, 2019 it appeared on SBS’s “Life Experts” (episode 654) as a bossam master, attracting nationwide attention. Since then it has established itself as one of Bukchon’s most popular shops, visited by popular food YouTubers and many celebrities.
