Michinoku Seiryu Chicken, a brand chicken that started production in Heisei 10, is raised with carefully selected feed. It is produced only by contracted farmers, with an annual production volume of about 850,000 birds. Although the farm itself is small-scale, the chickens are raised with plenty of care and affection. The farm is located in the Kesen River basin area, which was selected as the habitat for the natural ayu fish in the clear waters of the Hinamigawa River in Iwate Prefecture, and the chickens are raised with pure spring water and groundwater. They are fed with feed containing wood vinegar, mugwort powder, zeolite, seaweed powder, as well as pearl barley, otane carrots, garlic, and licorice extract. The brand chicken 'Michinoku Seiryu Chicken' has an average shipping age of 51 days and a body weight of about 2.8 kg. It has a firm texture with a soft and juicy taste, and the meat itself has a deep sweetness. This sweetness enhances a wide range of dishes, both Japanese and Western. Please enjoy it.
