A Cozy Little Izakaya to Enjoy Local Sake and Snacks

This izakaya quietly stands between Kawagoe Station and Hon-Kawagoe Station. Run by a couple, the interior exudes a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Highlights include sashimi of flatfish served with liver soy sauce, sweet potato chips with cheese, honey, and black pepper, melt-in-your-mouth agedashi tofu, and potato salad with bacon, all of which are highly praised. The sake selection includes many brands not listed on the menu, allowing guests to enjoy the fun of choosing their favorite local sake.

It's a small izakaya located between the stations, and the calm atmosphere is pleasant. The layout is small, centered around the counter, and has a warmth like home. The menu is carefully selected and easy to choose from, and everything is delicious. I particularly like the sashimi enjoyed with liver soy sauce, the melt-in-your-mouth agedashi tofu, and the crispy bacon potato salad. The sweet potato chips with cheese and honey are addictive, and the vegetable-rich tonpeiyaki and soy sauce pickled yam are also satisfying. There are local sake options not listed on the menu, and the staff happily recommends drinks based on your preferences, making it a fun experience.
