This shop, located in a corner of a famous shopping street, welcomes you with its well-worn counter as soon as you open the door. The menu, which covers the entire wall, is just for reference, and the flexibility to make anything as long as they have the ingredients is delightful. The complimentary dishes of sweet potato soup and egg salad have a gentle flavor that lifts your spirits from the start. The simmered offal, sea pineapple in vinegar, and even the pickles are simple yet deeply flavorful, making it hard to put down the chopsticks. The sight of ice-cold mugs sliding smoothly across the counter is amusing and made me laugh involuntarily. Enjoying local sake slowly while listening to the lively conversations of regulars as background music is very pleasant.
