The entrance is at the back of an alley, and it can be a bit nerve-wracking the first time, but once you open the door, a comforting town house space unfolds. You can step up onto the raised area without taking off your shoes, which gives a relaxed feeling as if you are visiting a friend's house. The friendly owner carefully checks for any dislikes before efficiently serving the dishes, which is reassuring. The course is arranged with small bowls that are served slowly, featuring a variety of home-style dishes like yakisoba, oden, and shiraae, all surprisingly delicious. The main dishes, such as the hamburger and miso pork cutlet, are fragrant, and they pair excellently with rice and sea bream porridge, making you want to ask for a second helping. It seems that the menu changes with the seasons, featuring items like biwa trout and oysters, and just imagining what dishes I might encounter next fills me with excitement.
