A cozy soba shop near the sea

Soba Doko Dote is a soba shop located very close to Zaimokuza Beach. It is loved by locals for its traditional and friendly flavors. You can enjoy dishes like katsudon and tempura donburi in a clean, renovated interior. It's a heartwarming place that you’ll want to stop by after a break by the seaside.

The moment I entered, the bright service and lively atmosphere were pleasant. The interior is clean, and you can feel the friendly vibe that is familiar to the locals. The thin, smooth soba has a firm texture and goes down wonderfully. The tempura has a light and fragrant batter, and the two shrimp are grouped together, which is interesting. The timing of the cold water service and the soba broth is also considerate, making for a comfortable experience. The menu is extensive, with options like ankake, curry udon, and somen, making it fun to choose.
