True to its reputation as a well-known chain in Fukuoka, this place has a casual and inviting atmosphere. The broth is light yet rich in flavor, typical of the Kansai style, and pairs well with the perfectly chewy noodles. The summer-exclusive dish of beef tendon stew with burdock and pickled ginger tempura over cold udon was an interesting balance of richness and refreshment. The generous serving of special udon comes with shrimp tempura, burdock tempura, meat, seaweed, and fish cake, creating a festive feeling in just one bowl. Adding as much green onion and tenkasu (tempura scraps) from the table as you like enhances the aroma and texture, making it irresistible. There is a reassuring consistency in flavor across all locations, and there is also the excitement of trying unique menu items like the specialty offal hot pot set and sardine tempura udon that are exclusive to this restaurant.
