A Casual Take on the Flavors of a Historic Ryotei with a Specialization in Side Dishes and Bento

This popular department store basement shop allows you to enjoy the flavors of the historic ryotei 'Nadaman' as takeout. The appeal lies in the rich variety of offerings, including elegantly seasoned simmered dishes and a selection of makunouchi bento, all enhanced by the aroma of dashi. In the evening, donburi and 'eating soup' are also available, making it a perfect stop to brighten up your dinner table before heading home.

Located just a short walk from Shibuya Station, this basement department store is exciting with its sparkling showcase. The bento boxes and side dishes on display are beautifully colored, making it hard to choose each time. The beef cheek, slow-cooked in red wine, has a deep richness that makes it hard to stop eating the rice. The fluffy sardine dumpling soup combines the umami of the fish with the sweetness of the vegetables, providing a comforting bowl. The creamy soup with sea urchin has a delightful blend of Japanese and Western flavors. The meticulous craftsmanship typical of a long-established shop is evident, making it a perfect place for both gifts and personal enjoyment.
