While waiting and enjoying the view of the Yatsugatake mountains, I felt uplifted from the very beginning as I walked through the farm's garden. When I sat down, the first dish that arrived was a cold soup with a gentle broccoli aroma, which immediately put me at ease. The following plate of eight appetizers featured vegetables that seemed to have just come from the field, and they were delicious enough to make me crave wine. The star-shaped pizza baked in a stone oven had fluffy dough on the outside hiding ham, which paired perfectly with the tomato sauce. The spaghetti with tomatoes cooked al dente had a garlic aroma that whetted my appetite, and the balance of fresh acidity and richness was excellent. After the meal, I slowly savored a smooth and rich tomato juice, and the entire lunch experience, including the time spent choosing a limited edition juice at the shop, left me completely satisfied.
