This calm café near Hanshin Station has a retro atmosphere that spreads as soon as you open the door. There are large table seats with a counter and skylights, allowing gentle natural light to pour in, making it perfect for reading a book. The walls are lined with cups and saucers, and the anticipation of waiting to see which one will be used to brew your coffee is exciting. Each cup is brewed one at a time with freshly ground beans, and the aroma alone lifts your spirits. The well-roasted blend is bitter yet has a smooth aftertaste, pairing well with baked goods and sweet red bean soup. The relaxed conversations with the owner and discussions about jazz are enjoyable, making it an attractive café where you tend to linger.
