We use live tiger pufferfish from Yamaguchi Prefecture.
We use domestically sourced hamo. Our chef trained in the Kansai region, the birthplace of hamo cuisine. The broth for our “hamo nabe”—which blends authentic Kansai flavors with the flavors of Niigata Prefecture—is simply exquisite. Furthermore, since we use only live fish caught that very day, our “Yubiki (with plum paste)” turns out plump and fragrant. Please enjoy.
We use carefully selected yellowtail. It features the clean, rich umami flavor of natural yellowtail fat and a “crunchy” texture. Our yellowtail shabu-shabu hot pot is highly acclaimed as truly the best in the world. However, during the season for year-end and New Year’s parties, demand for yellowtail increases. Furthermore, around the New Year when the Sea of Japan is particularly rough, there may be times when we are unable to secure yellowtail even if you have made a reservation. In such cases, we will serve an alternative dish, and we appreciate your understanding. Yellowtail that has been toughened by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan is truly delicious. Please enjoy it to the fullest.
We will source monkfish from within Niigata Prefecture whenever possible. If we are unable to source it, we will use monkfish from other prefectures. Monkfish from Itoigawa—one of the prefecture’s leading production areas—produces an excellent broth. Monkfish from Sado Island has a firm, springy texture and is delicious. While the best way to enjoy monkfish varies by region, please let us keep the specific origin a surprise until the day of your visit. Our chefs carefully select and purchase the finest monkfish at the fish market each morning. We hope you enjoy it.
This course includes a 100g steak of “Niigata Wagyu,” known for its richly sweet fat and deeply flavorful lean meat. The reason our steaks are so delicious—even though we’re a sushi restaurant—lies in our cooking method. We use a unique technique called “low-temperature cooking” to lock in the umami. Additionally, since the other dishes on the menu are seafood-based, this course is sure to satisfy those who want to enjoy both fish and meat.
This course includes 100 grams of “Murakami Beef”—Niigata Prefecture’s premier brand, which has won a gold award at a national competition—served as shabu-shabu. Our restaurant has a history of over 30 years, and the reason we’ve continued to meet our customers’ needs to this day can be summed up in one phrase: “It’s absolutely delicious.”

There is a pricing structure. For lunch use, the total amount must be over 50,000 yen (excluding transportation costs). For evening use, the total amount must be over 100,000 yen (excluding transportation costs). Transportation costs will be covered by car. From the center of Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture: within 30 minutes... free; within 60 minutes... 5,000 yen; within 120 minutes... 10,000 yen; within 180 minutes... 20,000 yen; over 180 minutes... negotiable. Menu items include: Megumi's hors d'oeuvres (served separately for each person in an aesthetically pleasing two-tiered arrangement), warm dishes (soup), and sushi (usually planned for 8 pieces). Additional sushi must be ordered in advance. Beverages can also be ordered, but they must be ordered in advance, and any leftovers must be purchased.
Reservations must be made at least one week in advance of your desired date. As this is a fully reservation-based service, there may be days when we cannot accommodate your preferred date depending on availability. If you order drinks, we will provide disposable glasses at our establishment, but if you do not order drinks, we ask that you bring your own glasses for beverages. All tableware used for the meal will be provided by us, but it will be in disposable containers. Our staff will enter the venue 90 minutes before the meal begins for setup. The meal is expected to last between 90 to 120 minutes and cannot be held outdoors. In case of cancellation, same-day cancellations will incur a full charge, while cancellations made the day before or two days prior will incur a half charge. We will use a gas burner and portable stove for cooking. Please ensure that the location allows for the use of fire. We also require a location with running water for handwashing.
