Savor exquisite yakitori at this hidden gem

Nestled in the residential area of Hamadayama, Funky Chicken is a hidden gem where you can enjoy top-notch yakitori in a relaxed atmosphere. The owner personally prepares Gunma's Haruna chicken, skillfully grilling it over charcoal, resulting in exceptional yakitori, with the taste of rare cuts being particularly astonishing. The interior is stylish, with jazz music playing, and the wooden decor creates a comfortable space. A wide selection of drinks that pair perfectly with yakitori is also available, ensuring a blissful experience.

In a quiet and sophisticated space, you can relax whether alone or with someone. The counter is central, and there are tables as well, making it very convenient. The grilling was just right, and everything from the liver to the gizzard and the chicken meat was delicious. I particularly liked the chicken wings with crispy skin. The zucchini vegetable skewer was also fresh and made me want to keep eating. For the finale, the oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) and chicken porridge were well made, leaving me satisfied until the end.
