Ebiyazushi is a cozy, homey restaurant run with heartfelt dedication. While it carries the name of a sushi shop, it also offers a rich selection of udon and soba, which is a delightful feature. Upon entering the old-fashioned narrow store, you are enveloped in a comforting aroma and gentle atmosphere. An elderly couple manages the place leisurely, and their kind voices are incredibly warm. The colorful chirashi is abundant with tuna, salmon, sea bream, yellowtail, and shrimp, and I was excited by the presence of the ingredients. The rice is modest, allowing for a light enjoyment until the end, which is also delightful. On cold days, choosing the keiran udon with a rich egg sauce brings a gentle spread of ginger aroma and the umami of the broth. As a nostalgic place where you can enjoy both sushi and noodles at the same time, I find myself drawn back whenever I think of it.
