Usagi is a renowned Japanese restaurant that has been beloved in Noge for many years, offering a homely ambiance that is its charm. You can enjoy dishes made with seasonal ingredients, and the menu changes with each visit, adding to the excitement. In particular, the balance of flavors in the dishes is exquisite, making it perfect to enjoy with shochu or sake. It's a comforting small eatery.

In a cozy space with just a wooden counter, you can sit back and relax. The daily menu displayed on the wall board features all homemade dishes by the owner. The macaroni salad, simmered butterbur, and stir-fried new potatoes with sausage were all gentle in flavor, highlighting the vegetables. The chilled tofu topped with junsai (water shield) served as an appetizer had a subtle hint of wasabi, making it memorable. With a selection of sake, shochu, and beer available, you can enjoy your favorite drink alongside the meal. The friendly conversations with the owner were pleasant, and I ended up staying longer than I intended.
