This is a calm Japanese restaurant located in a back street near the north exit of Ikebukuro. The warm welcome from the couple is pleasant, and you can feel at ease the moment you sit down. In addition to sashimi and grilled fish, there are also local dishes from Fukushima and items that pair well with sake, which is exciting. The grilled salt mackerel is fluffy, the skin is fragrant, and the umami is well pronounced. The miso soup with a rich dashi flavor has a nice aroma of mitsuba, and I really like the Japanese-style chicken nanban and the rich egg tartar. You can also choose sake from Fukushima, which pairs well with the gently flavored dishes.

The Japanese-style chicken nanban is very impressive, and the aroma of the broth is distinctly felt. The rich tartar sauce made with egg pairs well, making the rice go down easily. I particularly like the miso soup, which even allows me to enjoy the fragrance of mitsuba. The simmered yellowtail is flavorful all the way to the daikon, resulting in an elegant finish. The grilled fish is also good; the ribbonfish has a fluffy texture and the skin is fragrant, and I enjoyed even the skin of the salmon. The sashimi and salad add to the satisfaction, and the atmosphere is lovely.

The chicken nanban with a rich dashi flavor has a mild acidity, and the richness of the tartar sauce's egg is irresistible. The simmered yellowtail with daikon is well-infused with flavor and has a calm umami. The miso soup is very delicious, with the aroma of mitsuba gently spreading. It's also delightful to enjoy sake with grilled eel and liver as snacks.
