A casual kappo where you can savor the flavors of Akita

Located just a short distance from the west exit of Akita Station, Miyagawa is a casual kappo where you can enjoy the simple and hearty local cuisine of Akita. Using plenty of seasonal vegetables and mountain delicacies sourced locally, it offers comforting, home-style flavors. The dishes are low in fat yet rich in flavor, making them a perfect match for drinks. The interior has a retro atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for those who want to enjoy authentic Akita flavors without pretense.

This is a shop that is close to the station, and the tatami mat seating is comfortable. They do not have a paper menu; instead, they serve dishes prepared for that day. The seasonal vegetables and mountain blessings are all simple, and each dish has a different seasoning, making it enjoyable. The freshly grilled Hatahata and the finishing Kiritanpo hot pot were particularly impressive. When paired with local sake, I found myself eating more and more. With a warm atmosphere and attentive service, I was able to fully enjoy the flavors of Akita.
