The store name OKIBI (Ember) refers to the state where the burning firewood settles, becoming bright red from the core, indicating a high temperature and stable condition. We wanted to be a store that can become the light (Ember) of the region and the town, which is why we named it OKIBI. Ember has a high and stable heat that is easy to handle, allowing us to cook each ingredient using the appropriate method while preserving the aroma of the firewood and enhancing the quality of the ingredients. At OKIBI, we deliver the best state of locally sourced meat, fish, and vegetables grilled on a custom firewood grill station using firewood from Wakayama to your table. Please enjoy the unique aroma of firewood grilling and the mellow flavors with all your senses. Owner of Firewood Grilling OKIBI, Keigo Maekawa.
